Genesee Brewery
Who needs the crowds of tourists at Niagara Falls when you have surprisingly beautiful Rochester just east on I-90. The rooftop bar at Genesee Brewery boasts amazing views of downtown and High Falls. While the US Travel Services team is generally averse to cream ales this spot makes up for it with a variety of rotating taps and regional Upstate New York fare.
Page’s Okra Grill
After a wild night out in the Holy City of Charleston, South Carolina head across the Ravanel Bridge for a brunch time boodymary at Page’s Okra Grill. Ain’t no Zing Zang in this scratch made cocktail and the pickled okra and green beans add a nice garnish to the official US Travel Services WORLD’S BEST BLOODY 2018. Just look out for the throngs of southern belles at brunch or bachelorette parties.
Rails End Beer Company
Great local breweries are often tucked away in odd industrial areas where there are few other food and beverage services. Why? Well these breweries are essentially manufacturers and often get so successful it just makes good business expense to open up a tap room. Rails End Beer Company nails this concept perfectly in Broomfield, Colorado. Relax with some locals, have a grapefruit IPA, and chat personally with the brewmaster as he works.
Atlas Cider Co.
While Bend, Oregon is home to so many great craft breweries the town deserves its own list, one cidery stands out to us. Conveniently on the beer trail between the Old Mill District and downtown Atlas Cider Company pumps out a wide color spectrum of delicious ciders. From traditional apple, to blackberry, grape, apricot, mango, whatever fruit you can think of is fermented perfectly as you sip cider and gaze at Mount Bachelor.
Swamp Head Brewery
Just outside of Gainesville and the University of Florida sits Swamp Head Brewery. This high production facility makes so much good stuff their website has a beer database with searchable filters so you can find that perfect pint. Sit outside and watch the alligators patrol a nearby pond where ominous signs remind you that a past patron may have gotten a little to close.
Ventana Grill
Just outside of San Luis Obispo lies the oceanside town of Pismo Beach, California. Ditch the gridlock on the 101 for a luxury cliffside bar serving fresh latin-inspired sea food dishes with unparalleled views of the Pacific Ocean. An 805 from nearby Firestone Walker Brewing Company in Paso Robles goes down smooth as the sunset.
The Windjammer
Referred to by locals as “a sunny place for shady people” Isle of Palms, South Carolina is home to the world famous Windjammer bar and grill. Grab some peel and eat shrimp and enjoy a draft natty light on the back deck for a genuine lowcountry experience.
Denver Beer Co.
As is tradition you will find the US Travel Services team at the Denver Beer Company pregaming before any Rockies, Nuggets, or Avalanche game. This Platte Street institution is a hip lively spot where the unique beer options scream “just get a flight”. If you love sours be a man, go to the bar and say “one Princess Yum Yum please”… you won’t be disappointed.
Guy Fieri’s Kitchen & Bar at the LINQ
Smack in the center of the Las Vegas strip lies the LINQ Casino and Guy Fieri’s Kitchen and Bar. This real life Flavortown is home to a build your own bloodymary that has so many options it’s unfair to even consider it a drink. We opted for more traditional garnishes such as celery, bacon, and a pickle but don’t let our lack of creativity stop you from adding a slider, hotdog, or jumbo shrimp.
Accomplice Beer Company
Housed in the old town train station Accomplice Beer Company is the place to go in Cheyenne, Wyoming. As more modern locomotives rumble just behind the bar enjoy a beer and the low key hospitality the least populated state is known for.
